Our methods
The methods and specifications behind our work
We work to documented methods and specifications: tree valuation, tree rating, tree risk, habitat value, and our tree protection specification. Each one has a short summary you can read.
Each summary is open to read. To talk through how a method applies to your project, get in touch.
Tools
Calculators
Two working tools from our assessment methods, free to use. Tell us who you are and they open straight away.
Tree zone calculator
TPZ, SRZ, NRZ and encroachment under AS 4970:2025. Work out the zones from a tree's diameters, then trace a site plan to measure real encroachment.
Tree valuation calculator
Amenity value across the recognised methods, Burnley, City of Melbourne, Thyer, STEM and the current AANZAA-Value method, with the working shown.
