The team

The people who do the work

Two consulting arborists, both tertiary-qualified and tree-risk certified. The person who inspects your trees writes the report and gives the evidence.

Mark Reynolds, Director and Principal Consulting Arborist

Mark Reynolds

Director and Principal Consulting Arborist

Mark has worked in arboriculture for more than 20 years, including close to a decade inside Local Government. He has held senior roles in planning, and management roles in open space and tree management, at Bayside, Kingston, Boroondara and Cardinia, where he helped write and administer the planning overlays, Local Laws and significant tree registers that tree reports are now assessed against. The arboricultural report-writing guidelines he developed in Local Government are used widely across Victoria.

He has given expert evidence at VCAT more than 45 times since 2004, for Councils and applicants alike, and has represented clients in the Magistrates' Court. He sits on the Significant Tree Expert Committee of the National Trust of Australia (Victoria) and Arboriculture Australia's Education and Skills Committee, and trains the Diploma of Arboriculture at Arbortrim. He assesses trees the way the people reviewing the report will, which is one reason reports can progress efficiently through assessment.

Both of us

Qualified to assess tree risk to the recognised standards

Both consultants hold the two internationally recognised tree-risk qualifications, ISA TRAQ and QTRA, and work to the current Australian Standards: AS 4970:2025 for tree protection on development sites and AS 4373 for pruning. That combination is why Councils and private clients use us for risk assessment.
